Senior QA/QC Engineer - Uganda

My client is an International Engineering Consultancy currently working on a wide range of projects globally.

Due to securing a major healthcare project and as part of their long-term growth strategy, their most pressing requirement is for a Senior QA/QC Engineer in Uganda. The ideal candidate should have prior hospital related project experience. An attractive package is on offer as well as opportunities to progress within a growing organisation.

Responsibilities (Not limited to):

  • Review and evaluation of QA/QC documentation of main contractor, subcontractors and suppliers

  • Review and approval of contractors’ quality management plan (QMP), inspection test plan (ITPs), QC procedures

  • Ensure QA/QC system implementation by the contractor on site and the compliance within their QMP

  • Conduct internal and external audits to ISO standards

  • Oversee and approve contractors’ QA/QC personnel

  • Report to Resident Engineer (RE) and Line Manager

  • Municipality construction quality control and research for testing

  • Coordinate with site team and participate in mock up inspections

  • Performance monitoring of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to project key performance indicators (KPIs)

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years experience ideally within GCC

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • ISO 14001:2008, ISO 9001:2008

  • Healthcare/Hospitals preferable

  • Good communication skills

  • Proficient in English
