We are looking to recruit a Bid Writer for a key client of ours who are a £50m t/o award winning Construction and Fit Out Main Contractor that deliver projects up to £40m across the Retail, Commercial, FM, Healthcare and Private Residential sectors nationally. This role will see you work out of their Manchester based office.

Experience/Skills Required:

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages including Word and PowerPoint

·         Strong working knowledge of InDesign software

·         Must have worked in a similar role for a Main Construction Contractor

Job:

As Bid Manager you will work in the Manchester office and support the Proposals/Tender team in providing clear, concise, dynamic and focused tender return proposals for Building Fabric related projects & framework opportunities. You will ensure the accurate submission of all relevant information to the prescribed tender timetable.

 

Key Accountabilities:

·         Maintain and build relationships with clients

·         Plan and co-ordinate the bid process from receipt of enquiry through to submission

Design Manager

We are recruiting for a Design Manager on behalf of a Regional Main Contractor based in East Yorkshire. The role will sit within a successful team experiencing growth and progress year on year. The contractor has a large order book and longstanding client relationships, providing expertise within the Commercial, Retail, Industrial and Residential sectors.

Experience Required:

Job:

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager and Contracts Manager, the Design Manager will be responsible for undertaking all design aspects from tender through site delivery to client handover on projects valued up to £15m.

The Design Manager will have the ability to identify and initiate project direction on key technical construction issues and processes and to assess and advise on closing out project risks and will identify and implement added value throughout the project process.

Senior Estimator

We are recruiting for a Senior Estimator on behalf of an esteemed well-established privately-owned regional Contractor in East Yorkshire. The business is going through a period of expansion and is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their established commercial team. The Contractor typically constructs offices, factories, warehouses, retail parks and private accommodation such as Apartment Blocks.

Experience Required:

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Estimating and pre-construction tendering;

Project Architect - Dubai

My client is an excellent design studio who are currently involved on a number of exciting projects within Commercial, Healthcare and Residential sectors across the UAE.

As part of their continued development, they have recently been awarded a number of projects and are urgently looking to expand the team.

Their most pressing requirement is for a Project Architect in Dubai. Applicants must have previous experience of working in a similar environment and have high quality project experience. This vacancy is open to candidates based in the UAE. Healthcare project experience would be beneficial.

Key Activities (But not limited to):

  • Responsible for developing and delivering the project design from inception to completion through multiple design stages.

  • Develop and coordinate the project design, details, material specifications and technologies for project specifications, in line with the Project Design.

  • Coordinate and assure quality, continuity and consistency of project drawings and documentation.

  • Effectively coordinate all project disciplines (Architecture, Structure, MEP, Cost Control and Interior Design)

  • Maintain positive and progressive day-to-day communications with client, consultants, and the team.

  • Monitor and maintain project milestones, implementing established studio tools such as project action lists, project program, site reports, etc.

  • Ensure QA/QC procedures are properly implemented and maintained, including statutory requirements, etc.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years+ of proven experience in project management, detail and design development, construction documents, construction administration, site supervision of high-end projects.

  • Degree in architecture/equivalent

  • Demonstrate a portfolio of very high quality projects of similar scale, with experience in the residential / private villa / commercial sectors essential.

  • Demonstrate a considerable understanding of client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, and construction administration.

  • Should be a qualified Architect (Master’s degree preferable but not compulsory)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM (ARCHICAD ++) Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup essential, hand drawings and visualizations is an advantage.
