Site Manager

My client are a well know fit-out contractor based in Manchester with a £12 T/O. They are looking a Site Manager to work on multiple office fit outs throughout the North West.


The successful candidate MUST HAVE:

  • Experience in the fit out sector on projects up to £15m.

  • SMST

  • First Aid

  • Asbestos Awareness


Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all site activities and monitor progress against the programme

  • Ensure the effective close out of projects and that snagging commences as specified 

  • Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards of quality are achieved Keep up to date and complete site records

  • Identify potential issues which will affect successful project delivery and take necessary action as appropriate

  • Work closely with the Commercial team to monitor the financial status of the project

  • Manage the performance of direct reports and sub-contract labour, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently

  • To manage the communication of all necessary information

  • Ensure HSQE standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times

  • Responsible for the safety of the public, when working in a live environment


Co-ordinate the activities of different sub-contractors to ensure work is carried out efficiently and oversee performance to ensure work is completed on schedule and to the right standard

  • Lead the project team and manage the supply chain to deliver projects to time, cost and quality targets and standards

Project Manager

  • Have extensive experience of working within a Project Manager role or similar, gained within the construction or fit-out industry.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, a logical and systematic approach and will by driven by your own high standards and objectives.

  • As a minimum you will hold a CSCS Manager card and a relevant qualification in Construction or CIOB membership is desirable.



Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements

  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations

  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met

  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies  

  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities

  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Our client is a leading Construction business located in North Lincs, with a T/O £10m.


The role is based in North Lincs and offers excellent prospects. Key to the further development of the finance function in supporting this growing business will be the appointment of a Financial Controller (No 1 role) to support the FD.

Senior Project Manager (Architecture Firm) - Dubai

My client is one of the most renowned design firms in the Middle East currently involved on several exciting projects within the High-End Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Commercial and Residential sectors.

As part of their continued development and growth strategy, they are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to assist in the planning and delivery of their projects. This role is to be based in Dubai working primarily within the office and WFH flexibility is offered.

The role is open to candidates globally, but preference will be given to those from a western background due to the demands of the client.

Key Activities (But not limited to):

  • Capability to review and validate scopes and deliverables as per RIBA / AIA standards for projects

  • Sound knowledge of project management tasks as per the international standards of PMI or AXELOS

  • Present project updates internally, supporting in client presentations.

  • Assign and deliver within project deadlines with occasional guidance

  • Strong understanding of building construction, codes and regulations
