We are recruiting for a Human Resources Manager on behalf of a growing Regional Contractor based in East Yorkshire. The role is newly created and will be a standalone position implementing operational HR procedures, reporting to board level. The successful candidate will be joining a successful privately-owned company experiencing growth and progress year on year.

Experience Required:

Job:

The HR Manager will have responsibility for developing all HR infrastructure essential to support growth, providing policy advice as well as ensuring delivery of practical solutions to HR issues. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive and effective HR service to all staff and managers across the business. This role will be working alongside the Managing Director with support from the board to create the HR function with a view to progressing to a strategic role and Director level in the future.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement HR infrastructure into the business.

  • Advising Directors and managers on statutory changes and developments in best practice.

  • Identify opportunities to upskill current members of staff.

  • Develop HR administrative systems

  • Compile records of employees and job roles including contract details and key information are maintained.

  • Provide tools to support managers and staff, i.e. flowcharts, practical templates, forms, checklists etc.

  • Chair staff meetings to give briefings on HR policies and practices as required.

  • Plan and implement the recruitment process for all required vacancies along company guidelines with support from preferred agencies.

Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager on behalf of a large family owned Regional Contractor operating across the East Midlands. They deliver new build and refurbishment projects across Commercial, Industrial, Leisure and Retail sectors.

Experience Required:

·         The ability to take projects from inception to completion and deliver on time with minimal defects

My client is one of the largest Fit-Out Contractors delivering some of the most exciting projects within the Commercial, Hospitality and Residential Fit-Out sectors.

As part of their long-term growth strategy and urgent need, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with strong Fit-Out experience in Doha. They are looking to offer a fantastic package for the right candidate. The individual must have worked in a similar role and industry. Applicants must have previous experience of working in a fast track environment and have a proven track record.

Key Activities (Not limited to):

  • Supervise the QSs, guide and achieve the best practice thru them

  • Oversee the Procurement process, issuance of Subcontract with transparency and get best deal

  • Thoroughly analyse the Tender and Contract documents of the project, sort the ambiguities

  • Final negotiations of bid prices, Variations and large procurements

  • Develop a thorough understanding of owner/client design requirements prior to the commencement of any design project; coordinate with the HoS and other architects & engineers for further clarifications on design requirements

  • Attend meetings with the client that include both pre-tender and post-tender meetings

  • Carrying out feasibility studies

  • Performing risk analysis evaluations

  • Preparing and submitting final accounts

  • Degree educated would be preferable

  • Must have a strong commercial acumen
